Vaporesso XROS Pod Kit Range
The Vaporesso XROS series - sometimes searched as Vapresso XROS or Vaperesso XROS - is the UK's longest-running refillable MTL pod kit family, now in its fifth generation. Built by SMOORE, every Vaporesso XROS kit runs the AXON chipset and a magnetic COREX mesh pod platform.
The Vaporesso XROS range covers pocket-sized bodies, true MTL draw, refillable 2ml pods and a fast Type-C charging window.

The Vaporesso XROS family covers four positions in the UK refillable pod kit market: starter, compact, slim and pro. Every current-generation Vaporesso XROS kit accepts both COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pod cartridges. So a single refill SKU works across the whole range, and the launch of XROS 6 in 2026 keeps the same magnetic pod fit.
Below is the full lineup currently stocked at Ecigone, with the key differentiators side by side.
Full Vaporesso XROS Kit Lineup

XROS 4 vs XROS 5 vs XROS Pro 2 - How They Compare
Picking between the current Vaporesso XROS kits comes down to four questions: how compact, how strong a draw, do you need wattage control, and do you want a screen. The table below shows the headline differences across the Vaporesso XROS lineup.

The XROS 5 and Pro 2 sit at the top for screen feedback. The 5 Mini and 4 Mini suit anyone moving from a single-use kit. The 5 Nano lands between the two with a touchscreen in the slimmest body.
Vaporesso XROS Lineage - From XROS 1 to XROS 6
The Vaporesso XROS line launched in 2021 as the XROS 1, a draw-activated 800mAh pod kit. XROS 2 added the 1000mAh cell. XROS 3 (2022) brought OLED puff counters and the first 0.4 ohm RDL pod.
XROS 4 (2023) ushered in the COREX 2.0 mesh platform with SSS leak-resistant tech. XROS 5 (2024) shifted to the 1500mAh battery and the 26-minute Type-C fast charge. XROS Pro 2 added variable wattage to 30W.
XROS 5 Nano introduced the touchscreen. XROS 6 lands in 2026 with 60-second Smart Prime charging - the same magnetic pod fit carries over, so existing COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pods still work. Five generations in, the Vaporesso XROS platform remains the UK's most trusted refillable MTL pod kit family.
COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 Pod Compatibility

All current-gen XROS kits use a magnetic 2ml refillable pod, and both COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pod cartridges fit every XROS 4, 4 Mini, 5, 5 Mini, 5 Nano and Pro 2. The difference is coil tech, not kit fit. COREX 3.0 lifts mesh life by roughly 30% over COREX 2.0 and locks flavour stability across the pod's lifespan.
COREX 2.0 remains the lower-cost option for vapers who prefer the original mesh tuning.
XROS pods come in five coil resistances. Use this guide to match the pod resistance to your style and e-liquid choice:
Resistance |

How to Refill an XROS Pod
Every XROS pod is refillable through a side fill port. To fill your own:
- Lift the pod out of the kit by the silicone tab.
- Lift the rubber fill plug on the side of the pod.
- Slow-fill the pod from your nic salt bottle nozzle, leaving a small air gap at the top.
- Seat the fill plug fully, click the pod back into the kit and rest the pod for 5 minutes before the first puff.
The 5-minute prime stops dry hits on a brand-new pod. After the first fill, you can top up the same pod 5 to 8 times before flavour drops off and the coil needs swapping.
AXON Chipset and COREX Mesh - The Tech Inside Every Vaporesso XROS
Every Vaporesso XROS runs Vaporesso's AXON chipset. AXON fires the coil in microsecond pulse-bursts. Which keeps the mesh inside a 200-230 degree Celsius window across the full pod lifespan and locks flavour consistency from puff one through puff 500.
COREX itself is the Vaporesso integrated mesh platform: laser-etched stainless steel sheet mesh wrapped in Japanese organic cotton on 2.0, upgraded to a honeycomb Hive Mesh dome with denser Cumulus cotton on 3.0. The mesh ramps to vaping temperature in 0.3 seconds.
SSS leak-resistant silicone seals block the four common leak points: coil base, fill port, pod-to-device contact and mouthpiece seam.
XROS Battery Life Across the Range
Battery runs from 1000mAh to 1500mAh. A 1000mAh XROS lasts roughly a full day on 20mg nic salts. The 1500mAh XROS 5 stretches to about a day and a half and charges in 26 minutes via Type-C.
The XROS Pro 2 takes 50 minutes for its 1200mAh cell. For higher-capacity hardware, step out to the wider Vaporesso kit range for box mod and AIO options.
XROS Troubleshooting and Pod Maintenance
Most XROS problems trace back to one of five things: a flooded pod (gurgling - blow through mouthpiece into tissue, rest 5 minutes), a dry coil on first fill (burnt taste - rest after filling, 3 priming puffs without firing), a clogged airflow port (tight inconsistent draw - wipe the slot on the device body with a cotton bud), oxidised contact pins (no vapour with charged battery - wipe gold pins on pod and device) or end-of-life mesh (burnt taste after several refills - swap to a fresh pod).
To lock or unlock any current XROS, press the fire button five times within two seconds. To reset the puff counter on Pro 2, hold fire + up arrow for three seconds. To turn the kit off completely, press the fire button three times within one second.
Which XROS Kit Is Right for You?

New to vaping: The XROS 5 Mini - draw-activated, no buttons, COREX 3.0 pods, full day on 1000mAh.
Screen feedback in a slim body: The XROS 5 Nano - 1.09" touchscreen, 1000mAh, slimmest XROS body.
Adjustable wattage: The XROS Pro 2 - 1200mAh, TFT screen, wattage to 30W.
Flagship MTL with longest charge: The XROS 5 - MTL/RDL switch, 1500mAh, COREX 3.0 pods.
XROS 6 Release Timeline
Vaporesso confirmed XROS 6 in 2026 via official press release. The new generation introduces 60-second Smart Prime fast-charge tech and refines the COREX mesh platform further. The XROS 6 and XROS 6 Mini retain the same magnetic 2ml pod fit, so existing COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pods carry over.
UK launch is imminent - the XROS 5 family remains the current go-to until then.
Pair Your Vaporesso XROS with the Right E-Liquid
Vaporesso XROS kits are built for nic salt e-liquid at 10mg or 20mg strength. The smoother delivery of salts suits the MTL draw and pairs well with COREX mesh pods. Browse the 10ml nic salt range for over 500 flavours from brands including Elf Bar Elfliq, Lost Mary, Hayati and IVG.
Vaporesso's own nic salt line, Dojoliq, pairs cleanly with every Vaporesso XROS coil resistance.
If you prefer freebase or want to mix your own, 50/50 VG/PG juice runs cleanly on 0.8 ohm and above. Higher-VG juice over 60% is better suited to the 0.4 ohm RDL pod.
