What is 50/50 Vape Juice

The 50/50 refers to the VG and PG split inside the bottle. VG (vegetable glycerine) makes the vapour, and PG (propylene glycol) carries the flavour and adds throat hit. At a 50/50 ratio you get a bit of both without leaning too far in either direction.

Compared to thicker 70/30 vape juice, 50/50 e-liquid is noticeably thinner. That matters because thinner liquid soaks into smaller coils faster and doesn't gunk them up as quickly. Pod kits, starter kits and MTL tanks with coils from 0.6 to 1.2 ohm all run better on 50/50.

Best Kits and Coils for 50/50 E-Liquid

50/50 e-liquid pairs best with MTL pod kits and tanks running higher resistance coils. Anything between 0.6 ohm and 1.2 ohm at lower wattages will give you the best flavour from a 50 PG 50 VG vape juice.

Stick between 0.6 ohm and 1.2 ohm at lower wattages. Most MTL pod kits ship with coils in that range so you shouldn't need to change anything. Drop below 0.4 ohm and the thinner 50/50 liquid tends to flood the coil and spit back at you.

It's the standard ratio for pod kits and starter kits. The thinner liquid wicks properly in the smaller coils these kits use. You also get a tighter MTL draw from 50/50 vape juice than you would from a 70/30. If your kit came with a 0.8 ohm or 1.0 ohm coil, 50/50 is what you want in the tank.

For most pod kit vapers, 50/50 nic salts at 10mg or 20mg hit the mark. They're ready to go straight out of the bottle with no mixing needed. If you're after something lighter, freebase 50/50 at 3mg or 6mg gives you more throat hit at a lower nicotine strength.

50/50 vape juice is thinner, gives more throat hit, and produces less vapour. 70/30 vape juice is the opposite: thicker liquid, bigger clouds, smoother on the throat.
