E Liquid Types

Ecigone stocks seven types of e-liquid. You might know it as ecig liquid, vape fluid, e cig juice or electronic cigarette liquid. Same thing, different names, and we stock all of it. Each type suits a different kit, vaping style and nicotine preference. Here's what's available and which setup each one works with.

Nicotine Salt E-Liquids

Nic salt e-liquids absorb faster than standard freebase and feel smoother on your throat. You won't get the harsh hit at 20mg that freebase gives you. A solid option if you're switching from cigarettes or moving off disposables.

We stock nic salt e-liquid flavours in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg. All come in 10ml TPD-compliant bottles. Most use 50/50 VG/PG ratios and work with pod kits and MTL tanks running coils between 0.6Ω and 1.2Ω.

Bar Salt E Liquid

Bar salt e-liquids recreate the exact flavours from Elf Bar, Lost Mary and Crystal Bar disposables in refillable 10ml bottles. Same recipes, same taste, just in a format that saves you money.

Each 10ml bottle typically lasts several refills depending on usage. All bar salts use 20mg nic salt at 50/50 ratios and work with any refillable pod kit.

Shortfill E Liquid

Shortfill e-liquids are large bottles with 0mg nicotine and space at the top for nic shots. You add your own shots to get the strength you want. Sub-ohm vapers go through vape juice fast so shortfills give way better value per ml than buying 10ml bottles.

50ml and 100ml bottles from loads of brands. One 18mg nic shot in a 50ml bottle gives you 60ml at 3mg. Two shots in 100ml gets you 120ml at 3mg. Most shortfills use 70/30 high VG for cloud production. Some brands make 50/50 shortfills for pod kit users who want bigger bottles.

50/50 E Liquid

50/50 vape juice has equal parts VG and PG. You get moderate clouds with good flavour and a decent throat hit. The thinner consistency wicks properly through pod kit coils without clogging. Works in any pod vape, starter kit or MTL tank.

Available in 10ml nic salt bottles or as shortfills for bigger volumes at lower nicotine.

High VG E Liquid

High VG e-liquids use 70/30 ratios or higher. Thicker juice means bigger clouds and a smoother throat hit compared to 50/50 mixes. You need sub-ohm kits to vape high VG vape liquid properly because it won't wick through small pod kit coils fast enough.

Most come as shortfills at 3mg or 6mg. Cloud chasers running sub-ohm tanks below 0.5Ω at higher watts get the best results.

Freebase Nicotine E Liquids

Freebase e-liquid is the original vape juice formula and still popular with ex-smokers who want a stronger throat hit. Hits harder than nic salts at the same strength. A lot of people switching from smoking prefer freebase because it feels closer to what they're used to.

Available from 3mg up to 18mg. Works in pod kits, starter kits and MTL setups.

Nicotine Shots

Nic shots are small 10ml bottles of unflavoured nicotine you add to shortfills. Most come in 18mg freebase or 20mg nic salt. One shot in a 50ml shortfill makes 60ml at 3mg. Two shots in 100ml makes 120ml at 3mg.

Pick freebase shots for a throat hit or salt shots for a smoother finish. Match the VG/PG ratio to whatever shortfill you're using.

Unflavoured E-Liquid

Looking for unflavoured e-liquid? We stock plain VG/PG base liquids with and without nicotine. Unflavoured vape juice works as a base for DIY mixing or on its own if you just want the nicotine without any taste. Available in various strengths and VG/PG ratios.

Longfill E-Liquids 

Longfill e-liquids are concentrated flavours in larger bottles with room to add your own nic shots and VG/PG base. A typical longfill is 20ml of concentrate in a 60ml bottle. You top it up with base liquid and nicotine to get the strength and ratio you want.

That means you control everything. Pick 70/30 for sub-ohm clouds or 50/50 for pod kits. Add nic shots for 3mg, 6mg or leave it at 0mg. With the UK vape stamp duty coming later in 2025, longfills will be the cheapest way to buy bigger volumes of vape juice.

Wrong e-liquid in the wrong kit causes burnt coils, leaking and bad flavour. Here's what works with what:

Pod kits need thinner vape juice to wick properly. Use 50/50 nic salts or bar salts. Thick liquid in a pod causes dry hits and burns the coil out. Sub-ohm tanks need high VG e-liquid for cloud production. Thin 50/50 floods the coils and causes spitting.
