How to Unlock PIXL 8000

Your PIXL 8000 kit arrives locked. That's a safety feature to stop it firing during shipping or in your pocket. To unlock it, click the fire button five times quickly. The screen flashes and the lock icon disappears.

The kit locks itself again after about 10 minutes of no use. Five clicks unlocks it every time. If you've just bought the kit and it won't fire, this is almost always why.

How to Change PIXL 8000 Pods

Swapping PIXL 8000 refill pods takes about 30 seconds. No tools, no e-liquid bottles, no priming.

1. Pull the used pod and container unit out of the kit
2. Take your new PIXL 8000 refill pack and click the 2ml pod onto the 10ml container until it snaps
3. Slot the combined unit into the kit
4. Wait about 2 minutes for the wick to soak on first use, then vape

The 10ml container feeds liquid into the 2ml pod on its own while you vape. You don't top anything up manually. Once the container runs dry, the whole unit gets swapped for a fresh one.

PIXL 8000 Boost Mode

The PIXL 8000 kit has two vaping modes. Standard mode gives you the normal MTL draw. Boost mode heats the coil harder for more vapour and a stronger flavour hit.

To turn boost on: Double-click the button on the base of the kit. The screen shows a boost icon.

To turn boost off: Double-click the same button again. Back to standard mode.

Boost mode uses more battery and will drain the pod faster. If you're using it all day, you'll get fewer puffs than the approximate 8,000 count. Standard mode is better for stretching the pod and battery life.

Some people hit boost first thing in the morning for a stronger hit then run standard mode the rest of the day. Either way the swap between modes is instant.

PIXL 8000 Troubleshooting

If your PIXL 8000 keeps locking after a few minutes idle, that's normal. Auto-lock kicks in after about 10 minutes. Five clicks sorts it. If it locks mid-puff or straight after unlocking, charge the battery fully first. Still happening after a full charge? Contact us through live chat.
