IVG Smart Max Refill Pods Overview
The IVG Smart Max is the rechargeable Big Puff successor to the old single-use Smart 5500. You buy the Smart Max pod kit once, then keep swapping in fresh Smart Max refill pods when the liquid runs out. Each refill pod is a 12ml system (2ml prefilled cap + 10ml auto-refill container) that delivers approximately 10,000 puffs per pod.
Across the Smart Max range you get 30 flavours in 10mg and 20mg nic salt. Built-in Eco and Boost modes let you pick a longer battery day or a stronger flavour hit.
This page is for IVG Smart Max pods and the matching Smart Max kit. If you want a different IVG range, the full IVG brand range covers the Pro 10K, 2400, Savr and XL 35K formats too. The complete IVG refill pod range sits across every kit family in one place.
What Is the IVG Smart Max?
The IVG Smart Max is a refillable pod kit with a small built-in screen, a 1000mAh rechargeable battery, and Type-C charging. It's inhale-activated, so there's no button to press. The kit accepts Smart Max refill pods, and each pod is a sealed 12ml unit you click in once and replace whole when it's empty.
People landing here from "IVG Smart 5500 refill pods", "Smart 5500 pods" or "Smart refill pods" are usually looking for the same thing. IVG replaced the disposable Smart 5500 with this rechargeable Smart Max system. Same brand, same flavour DNA, longer-lasting hardware.

How IVG Smart Max Refill Pods Work
Each Smart Max refill pod is built in two halves that click together. On top, a 2ml prefilled vape pod section holds liquid directly under the mouthpiece, TPD-compliant. Underneath, a 10ml refill container feeds liquid up into that pod as you vape.
You don't need to fill the tank yourself, drip anything, or prime a coil. The pod handles the feed on its own until the full 12ml is gone.
At around 10,000 puffs per pod, most vapers get 7 to 10 days from a single Smart Max refill. Heavier users finish one in 4 to 5 days. Puff counts vary with draw length and how often you vape.

IVG Smart Max Flavours: The Range and the Bestsellers
There are 30 flavours across the IVG Smart Max refill pods range. Every popular Smart 5500 recipe made the move, plus new pairings introduced for the Smart Max launch.
Blue Razz Lemonade is the clear bestseller across the Smart Max line. Blue Raspberry Ice, Watermelon Strawberry and Classic Menthol rotate for second place depending on the week. Strawberry Raspberry Cherry, Triple Mango and Cherry Peach Lemonade are the comeback flavours people reorder once they've tried one.
Cola Ice, Lemon and Lime and Banana Ice cover the non-berry corners of the range, and Frozen Cherry sells in 20mg only at present.
Every Smart Max refill pod is priced the same across flavours, and you can pick 10mg or 20mg nic salt on most. Full flavour grid is below.

Eco Mode and Boost Mode Explained
The Smart Max kit has two performance modes. Eco mode runs the kit on a lower wattage. The draw is lighter, the vapour is cooler, the battery and pod both stretch further.
Boost mode pushes more power to the coil. Vapour is warmer and denser, flavour comes through stronger, the pod and battery drain quicker.
Most people sit in Eco for everyday vaping and flip to Boost when they want a heavier hit. Boost is also useful right at the bottom of a pod when the liquid level is low and the draw needs a bit of help.
The kit has a small screen on the body that shows which mode you're in and your remaining battery.
Setting Up Your First IVG Smart Max Pod
- Charge the Smart Max kit fully through the Type-C port before first use
- Take the refill pod and 10ml container out of the box
- Peel off the protective stickers from the pod and the red rubber stopper on the container
- Turn the red stopper anti-clockwise to release it from the container
- Click the 2ml pod down into the 10ml container until it locks
- Slide the combined unit into the Smart Max kit until it sits flush
- Leave it 2 to 3 minutes for the coil to soak before your first draw
From the second pod onward you skip the wait. The kit fires on inhale, no button. When a pod is dry, pull it out, drop a fresh Smart Max refill pod in, and carry on.
IVG Smart Max vs IVG Pro: Which One Should You Buy?
Both are rechargeable IVG Big Puff pod kits, but they're built for different draws. The Smart Max is the tighter, more MTL-feeling kit with Eco and Boost modes and a built-in screen. It comes in 10mg and 20mg only.
The IVG Pro is the looser, smoother draw, with 0mg, 10mg and 20mg pods and the option of the IVG Pro 10K kit at 10,000-puff capacity.
Pick Smart Max if you want stronger flavour intensity, mode switching, and a screen-based readout. Pick Pro if you want a softer mouth-to-lung draw, the option of 0mg nic-free pods, or a broader pod variant range. The IVG Savr range is the third sibling at a smaller capacity if you want a tidier pocket size.
Who Is the IVG Smart Max For?
Three groups land best on the Smart Max range. Anyone moving across from the old Smart 5500 single-use bar, because the flavour profile is the same but you're not throwing away the whole device. Anyone replacing a generic 10K disposable that's been pulled from sale, because the Smart Max delivers similar puff count without the bin waste.
It also suits anyone who wants a no-button, no-fill kit with a bit of control over draw strength. The Eco and Boost toggle delivers that without making the kit complicated.
It's not the right pick if you want a 0mg pod option. Smart Max does not ship in 0mg yet, look at Pro instead. It also isn't right if you want to manually fill your own e-liquid - the pods are sealed prefilled, look at refillable kits like the OXVA Xlim or Vaporesso XROS for that).
